If the chart looks frozen or prices seem behind, work through these checks in order — the first two resolve the vast majority of cases.
1. Is the market open?
The most common cause of a "stuck" chart is simply a closed market. Forex closes over the weekend; stocks, ETFs, indices, and commodities follow their exchange sessions; only crypto runs 24/7. When a session is closed, no new candles form and the candle-close countdown hides — that's normal. Look for the Market closed row (moon icon) in the intraday feed. See Market hours and the "Market closed" indicator.
2. Refresh the page
TrendTrader Pro refreshes candles automatically about every 60 seconds, but a laptop waking from sleep or a flaky network can leave a session in a stale state. A simple browser refresh re-establishes the live price stream and reloads the latest candles.
3. Were you signed in somewhere else?
TrendTrader Pro allows one active session per account. If you (or someone with your credentials) signs in on another device or browser, your original session is signed out within a few minutes — which can look like the app silently stopped updating, then asks you to log in again. Just sign back in on the device you want to use. If you didn't sign in elsewhere, change your password immediately from Settings.
4. "No intraday data"
If a market is open but shows No intraday data, our intraday pipeline hasn't produced fresh data for it in the last ~15 minutes. This is usually brief and resolves on its own. If it persists across multiple markets for more than 15–20 minutes, it's on our side — please report it.
5. Check your connection and extensions
Live prices need a persistent connection. Corporate firewalls, VPNs, and aggressive ad-blockers or privacy extensions can block streaming. Try disabling extensions for app.trendtrader.pro or switching networks.
