Sometimes you will open an asset expecting a signal and find that nothing new has fired — the feed shows an older signal, or no recent activity at all. This is one of the most common questions we get, and the short answer is: the engine has nothing new to say about that market yet, and that is exactly how it should work.
Signals fire on events, not on a schedule
A TrendTrader Pro signal is not a daily opinion or a recurring commentary. The engine fires a signal only when one specific event happens: the criteria for a brand-new established trend are met in that market.
If those criteria have not been met, no new signal fires — no matter how many scans have run since the last one. The engine scans every covered market continuously (daily signals update at each 01:00 UTC scan; intraday signals refresh every few minutes), but scanning and firing are different things. Most scans, for most markets, correctly conclude "no new trend has formed."
What "no fresh signal" actually means
The last signal is still the prevailing call. If the most recent signal was a BUY from last week and nothing new has fired, the engine still considers that uptrend the established direction. Trends lasting days or weeks without a flip is normal — durable trends are the point.
The market may be ranging. Sideways, choppy markets often fail the criteria for an established trend in either direction. The engine staying quiet through chop is a feature: firing signals in a range is how low-quality tools generate noise (and losses).
It is not an error. An asset without a fresh signal is not broken, unmonitored, or stale. It is being scanned on the same schedule as everything else.
What to do
Check the fired-at stamp on the last signal — that tells you how long the current call has been in force.
Look at the chart markers — the bright current marker and the dimmed history show you the last flip and how price has behaved since.
Wait for the flip. When a new trend does establish, the signal will fire on the very scan that detects it, and you will see it in your feed and on the chart within the normal update cadence.
When to contact support
If an asset's signal seems inconsistent with what you see on other assets — for example, everything in its class updated at the daily scan except that one — reach out to support with the symbol name and we will check it. But an asset that simply has not flipped recently needs no action: the engine is watching it, and silence means "no new trend yet."
