When you open any asset's chart, TrendTrader Pro draws the engine's signals directly onto the candles so you can see the trend calls in context. Here is how to read them.
The markers
Each chart shows the current signal plus its history:
The current signal — a solid, bright BUY or SELL tag. This is the signal currently in force for the asset, matching what you see in your signal feed and watchlist.
Signal history — earlier signals render as the same style of tag, dimmed. They stay on the chart so you can see every past trend flip in context, not just the latest one.
Together they frame the current trend: the most recent dimmed marker shows where the old trend ended, the bright marker shows where the new one began, and the candles between them are the move the engine called.
Where markers are anchored
Every marker is pinned to the candle where that signal fired — the moment the engine's criteria for a new established trend were met:
On the Intraday tab, that is the candle containing the exact fire time.
On the Daily tab, that is the daily candle for the day the signal fired.
Because the anchor is the fire moment, you can judge a signal honestly: everything to the right of the marker is what happened after the signal was live. There is no repainting and no retroactive repositioning — a marker stays on its fire candle permanently.
Markers and timeframes
Markers appear on the chart timeframe that matches the signal's type, anchored to the corresponding candle. When you switch timeframes, the chart keeps the fire moment in the correct candle for that resolution.
When you open a symbol, the chart automatically frames the recent candles so the current signal's fire candle is on screen — you land looking at the signal, not scrolling for it.
Why markers are tags, not lines
Signals mark a moment in time, not a price level. That is why they render as tags pinned to candles rather than horizontal price lines: a trend signal is "a new trend was established here," not "buy at this price." TrendTrader Pro does not provide entry prices, stop losses, or take-profit levels — those are risk-management decisions that stay in your hands.
Quick reference
Bright tag: current signal, still in force.
Dimmed tag: an earlier signal, kept as history — the most recent one marks where the previous trend ended.
Marker position: the candle where the signal fired — never moved afterward.
No marker visible: scroll or zoom out slightly, or check the feed — see "Why an asset shows no fresh signal" if the asset has no active signal.
